One of Ireland’s biggest daily deals sites announced it’s impending closure today. According to a statement Grabone owners Independent News & Media, the decision was made for commercial reasons. Independent News & Media owns several national and local Irish newspapers and radio stations. Grabone has been providing daily deals in Ireland since 2011 and according to the Grabone website they provided 47,562 deals from 4,769 merchants in Ireland.
It is expected that there will be 24 job losses as Grabone closes over the next few weeks.
Already purchased Grabone vouchers remain redeemable.
